1. | Aims: “Technology and Living” is a subject with four strands – “Food and Nutrition”, “Food Production Technology”, “Family and Lifestyle”, “Clothing, Garments and Textiles”. This subject aims at developing students’ sense of responsibilities, sense of belonging to the family and a healthy lifestyle to solve problems in the daily life in addition to using basic skills. It is hoped that students would learn how to achieve the ambition for a quality life and identify the impacts brought by technology on individuals, families, the society and the environment. |

Understand one’s roles at home and maintain good family relationships | ||

Master and apply the consumer skills when choosing food items and clothing. | ||

Build a healthy lifestyle through keeping a good eating habit, observing personal hygiene and personal safety. | ||
2.4 | Master the knowledge and skills for living, e.g., food, clothing, accessories, household and family to meet the daily needs. | ||
2.5 | Learn about the properties and characteristics of food, develop an interest in the basic scientific principles of food production | ||
2.6 | Develop aesthetics judgment through design and making ornament accessories | ||
2.7 | Learn about proper ways to use and manage resources, conserve and preserve the world’s natural environment |
