1. | Aims: | |
1.1 | Through the learning of music and musical activities, students’ creativity and music appreciation skills are developed. Students are to obtain pleasure, happiness and satisfaction and to express their feelings through appreciating and enjoying music. | |

Develop musical skills and progress: Guide students to learn about basic musical skills and simple music terms in a systematic way, develop in students an awareness and understanding of music. | |

Develop creativity and imagination: Learn about musical concepts and basic production skills and develop creativity and imagination through performing activities and listening. | |

Develop music appreciation skills: Through participation in a wide variety of musical activities, e.g., listening to music, playing the musical instruments, singing, rhythmic activities, and musical production and so on, students gain happiness, pleasure and satisfaction and in them a passion for and an interest in music are developed. | |

Learn about scenes with music: Through musical activities, students’ sensory skills are stimulated as to develop their understanding of people and events. Functions of music in everyday life and its relationship with different cultures are explained. | |
