1. | Aims: Physical education aims at developing students’ physical skills, sports knowledge, as well as positive values and attitudes so that they would develop an active and healthy lifestyle. It helps students acquire good health, physical fitness and bodily coordination through participating regularly in physical activity. It also promotes desirable moral behaviours, cooperation in communal life, ability to make decisions, the appreciation of aesthetic movement and cooperation with others. |

To enhance students’ health so that a comprehensive physical development and good physical fitness can be fostered and maintained. | |

To develop in students positive sports-related values and attitudes. | |

To learn the importance of mutual cooperation and being rule-abiding from group activities, and at the same time to develop a sense of belonging and responsibility towards the group. | |

To develop in students a concept of beauty and an aesthetic sensitivity and to strengthen the capability of giving comments on physical performance through observing and evaluating various types of movement in sport and physical activity. | |
